The membership of Hillside Gardeners of Montclair meets every month from September through May. The meetings
are friendly, lively and often full of
surprises.

Club Activities
GENERAL MEETINGS:
​Hillside Gardeners of Montclair meets Tuesdays at 11:00 AM at the Joaquin Miller Community Center in Oakland. Meetings are held once a month from September through May. The 2024-2025 meeting schedule is available HERE
The SPEAKER PROGRAM is from 1 PM to 2 PM. Guest speakers give presentations about various garden or conservation topics.​

EXCURSIONS:
Members meet for field trips exploring gardens and other points of interest. These events are always both fun and enlightening.
INTEREST GROUPS
--The Knitting Group makes knitted and/or crocheted items that can be kept or sold at Club meetings or events.
--The Green Thumbs, a propagation group, meet periodically to transplant and/or grow plants from seed to share or to sell at HGM meetings or events.
--The Pottery Group makes pottery for their own use or for sale at Club meetings or events.

-- Arts and Crafts. Club members frequently meet to learn new craft techniques and methods, resulting in wonderfully interesting and innovative creations.
Fundraising Events
--Crafters Alley is held during the November meeting and is intended for crafters to display and sell their handicrafts. It features pottery, knitted objects, food items, jewelry and other items.
--Our SPRING GARDEN TOUR is held every other year in the Oakland area and features 6+ private gardens as well as a Garden Gift Shop.
